A high street bank cannot give you options that a mortgage broker can give you. As a former mortgage broker this tip is tantamont to treason but you could "think" about picking the brains of a mortgage broker then going direct to the lender.
A better and more impartial way would be to simply download my ebook 'The Mortgage Bible' that covers everything you need to know about mortgages. There is too much to list here but after reading it you will know as much as most brokers do about:
- What type of mortgage is best for you.
- What interest rates mean to you.
- Repayment mortgage versus Interest only mortgages.
- How to avoid repossession.
- Tips on how to avoid fees of thousands of pounds.
- How to save thousands of pounds by doing something as simple as.....
Considering my book is still selling on Amazon for over £20 my publisher thinks I'm crazy for giving it away free of charge. There's no doubt the publisher will pull the plug on this free download as fast as a "startled gazelle". Best grab your copy fast here......
Hey Monty, great to have you stop by and comment over at my Florida Mortgage Blogger site!
ReplyDeleteI'm often mystified by folks who choose fewer options over the greater number where their finances are concerned. I suppose folks go to their Banks rather than mortgage brokers because they feel that they'll receive special consideration if they hold accounts there.
I have a lot of folks come to me after visiting their bank. The most recent family was seeking a pre-approval letter for a short sale deal they were looking to buy. Their credit union said they'd have to put $400 down with them in order to have the pre-approval done. Ridiculous. I had one for them same day (Their FICO Scores were in the 700s!)
Hi Kevin
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. As a retired journalist I fully support your take on freedom of speech. How can any democratic society gag bloggers providing bloggers are not calling on us to terrorise or conduct any obscene act. You don't need my sympathy Kevin but if it is any consolation the economy here in the UK is in a right mess. What is even worse to think about is that it is only the Govt who can put an action plan into place to right the wrong doings of the banks. Heaven help us all. Meantime - keep slugging away and don't let the Barstewards grind you down.
